Office History

The office FISSLER ERNST ARCHITEKTEN was founded in 1979 by Jürgen Fissler. In 1989 Hans-Christof Ernst becomes partner; thenceforward both - Jürgen Fissler and Hans-Christof Ernst - pursue the business in partnership. Our office and the one of FEA-Consult - Gesellschaft von Architekten und Ingenieuren mbH - are located in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Our office strategy follows the intention to work within manifold fields, such as design, planning and building engineering as well as to work on its project's theoretical, planning and structural implementation. Within our catalogue of works you find new building measures - i.e. in Berlin, Frankfurt a.M., Potsdam and abroad - as well as product and industrial design, interior and furniture design for shops and boutiques plus little conversion, extension and expansion measures. The variety of its use, in particular new building planning reaches from residential constructions to office buildings, buildings of the social sector, day care facilities for children, ecclesiastical facilities and fire department buildings.

All specialist disciplines, such as design and planning tasks, the coordination and if necessary also the supervision and monitoring of the construction progress are equally important to us. Many of our design contracts have been supervised by our office up to the handing over to its building owners.

The structural organisation of our offices as well as the technical equipment are open; therefore, we are able to react to changes and innovations with high flexibility in order to offer new development capabilities in the sense of the above named objectives. It is self-evident for us to use CAD, graphic and layout programs as well as up-to-date means of communication, especially for the data exchange with all planning and construction involved parties and institutions.

In every new task we see a new challenge.
